Better Together...

Better Together...

It was Fall break for the grandkids. We got to take these two on a hike with us. Bret was so good to carry Mav in a child backpack scrambling up the hills, through the blackberry bushes, and under the trees along the path. My Daughter Tara stayed close to Bret as he was carrying her babe on his back and Ellsie was my buddy so when the others trekked ahead we had each other. Watching her skip across the rocks and marvel at the beauty surrounding us was fun for me. I think she actually liked it when we were left alone to venture together. I love this sweet girl! Something about this place reminded me of my childhood and how nature was my playground. I was glad I got to share it with her and the others. It was just better together...

What I Have Learned...

  • I was reminded that if you don't spend time together with those you love, you miss out.
  • I learned that the Lord really does help you do the impossible, I really didn't know how I was going to get through the week but I did.
What I Have Yet to Learn...
  • This week was just a bit stressful... the hike was the best part of it so I need to learn to do things like that more often.
  • I still need to practice all the formulas and terms for my business class.
  • Financial statements are challenging and I can't wait till I learn to understand them.
  • I need to start deciding what I want to do for my micro business next semester.

Spiritual Insights...

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee..."

This is what the lord said to the Prophet Jeremiah... I believe he could say the same to all of us, his children. This knowledge is so important to me. He knows me, who I am, and who I am meant to be. And when I am broken or make mistakes, like the potter to the clay, he can remake me into something better. I believe that because he knows me so well, he can and is willing to do this as many times as it takes for me to get it right.

Goals...

  • Get through another week and be more present and aware of what I am learning in school and my scripture study.
  • Eat more proteins and fewer carbs.
  • Turn in my final resume draft before the due date.
