Because It's Good For You!

 Because It's Good For You!...

Here is lunch. I often wonder about lunch...It seems to come at such an inconvenient time. I actually have more fun taking pictures of my lunch than I do eating it. I am a little silly about my food... Thinking about it though, I have to wonder if I am missing why we take time in the middle of our day to renew and re-nourish ourselves. Sometimes I have to admit I will be in a hurry and just grab something that is usually filled with carbs and sugar resulting in a crash of sorts of energy and willpower. I think this defeats the purpose of our lunch break. Taking a time to unwind and refuel will carry us through the remainder of the day with greater energy and clearer thought processing. I have a great need to fill my day with productivity and so a crash leaves me feeling like I have missed out on something I could have done or experienced. So eat well my friends. Take that moment to feel blessed and strengthened...It's Good For You!

What I Have Learned...

  • That I can make important connections wherever I go
  • That trials are a part of life for me and my children...It is how we react to them that leaves lasting wounds or not.
  • That ice cream after a long day is a treat...especially if you share it with someone you love.
  • That when I walk with the Lord, He will walk with Me.

What I Have Yet To Learn...

  • Still working on time management...I get involved with what I am doing and put off moving on to the next thing.
  • Be patient with me
  • Don't worry about what I have no control over

Spiritual Insights...

Isaiah 25:Chapter heading

"In Mount Zion the Lord will prepare a gospel feast of rich food--He will swallow up death in victory--It will be said Lo, this is our God.

Feasting upon good food isn't the only thing that is good for us,,, feasting upon the scriptures and the word of God can fill our souls with peace and confidence in Jesus Christ. Isaiah pleads with us to feast upon the words of the Lord and be filled.
