Because It's Good For You!

Because It's Good For You!... Here is lunch. I often wonder about lunch...It seems to come at such an inconvenient time. I actually have more fun taking pictures of my lunch than I do eating it. I am a little silly about my food... Thinking about it though, I have to wonder if I am missing why we take time in the middle of our day to renew and re-nourish ourselves. Sometimes I have to admit I will be in a hurry and just grab something that is usually filled with carbs and sugar resulting in a crash of sorts of energy and willpower. I think this defeats the purpose of our lunch break. Taking a time to unwind and refuel will carry us through the remainder of the day with greater energy and clearer thought processing. I have a great need to fill my day with productivity and so a crash leaves me feeling like I have missed out on something I could have done or experienced. So eat well my friends. Take that moment to feel blessed and strengthened...It's Good For You! What I Have Le...

Direction...

Direction ... Bret and I took a quick hike to the top of a nearby clifftop where he wanted to show me this concrete arrow. The first scheduled passenger flight in the USA was made by Western Air Express on May 23, 1926, from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles. This is one of four 50-foot arrows placed every 10 miles for navigation of mail and passenger planes. Coal oil lamps were used to illuminate the arrows after dark. I am actually quite excited about it. I had to work hard to get my studies early to go on a business trip with Bret. I have recently begun an internship at our family business and have already enjoyed the work and the associations with this opportunity. I can't help but think as I prepare for upcoming assignments about where to look for direction to keep me on track. I have apprec...

Peach Days...

Peach Days! Peach Day's are held on Labor Day Weekend in a little town in Southern Utah called Hurricane. I grew up in Hurricane....depending on when you grew up there you may say it a bit differently. Some say it with long "A" sound and some may say it without the "A" sound at all. However you say it it grows some of the best peaches! Honestly, it is hard to hold back and not eat so many your tummy hurts. The juicy tang of a peach is addicting and I for one, stop just about anything I am doing when I have the chance to get some. This week we bought some at Peach Day's and they ripened so fast I had to dry some. I didn't mind as they are such a tasty treat to grab and go. Peach Day's are also synonymous with school. Most schools started recently and I start this weekend. I am really excited and hope I can keep up. I took some time to review some basic Excel formulas and just felt so blessed at what I can do today that I couldn't have dreamed of...
